I'm happy to announce that I've been invited to exhibit in a series of art dealer Wizzie Broach's home shows in Norfolk and Charlottesville, VA. A few works on paper have been selected and shipped over the weekend for the upcoming shows. The first is currently on display right now at 1511 Commonwealth Ave, Norfolk. The exhibits will be available to view by appointment as well.

Things have been a little slow around here lately. Right after my reception, I had a sort-of post show crash that resulted in being sick for about a week. This doesn't typically happen to me, but I couldn't escape. Also, I want to thank everyone for the thoughtful feedback and positivity that has been shared with me as a result of this exhibition. I am tremendously grateful.
For now, I leave you with photos from the exhibit, for those who would like a good long look. New work coming soon :) Today, in lieu of 10 Seconds for Sunday, I have for you a two minute extended tour of my current solo exhibit at Annex Gallery!
Many thanks to everyone who came out to the reception last night!
I am happy to announce the dates for my upcoming solo exhibition at Annex Gallery in Charleston, WV. You may find my work there from September 17 - October 14, 2012. There will be an opening coordinated with the Charleston ArtWalk on Thursday, September 20th from 5 - 8:00 pm and I will be in attendance - very much looking forward to the reception!
Leading up to my September solo exhibition at Annex Gallery, I will be displaying works on paper at Charleston's FestivALL.
During the Capitol Street Art Fair, you can view paintings that have never-before been exhibited! You may drop by to view this body of work on June 23rd (10:00 - 6:00pm) and June 24th (11:00 - 5:00pm) on Capitol Street. I am thrilled to be showing my works on paper for the first time ever- these are all original paintings that have been created in different sizes, ranging from 4.5 x 6" to 12 x 16". They will not be on display for my solo exhibition, so if you are in the area, be sure to stop by and check them out :) There are over 100 original small paintings available. I would love to see you there! I'm happy to announce that my piece "Mon River - October 22nd" has been accepted into the Allied Artists of West Virginia 2012 Juried Exhibition! You will find this painting on display from May 11th through June 28th at the Parkersburg Arts Center in Parkersburg, WV. Congrats to Derek, who has been accepted as well!
If you are in the area, my work is on display at Annex Gallery in Charleston, WV throughout the holiday season along with other West Virginia artists! I would love it if you could stop by. Many thanks to Linda, for taking this picture to share :)
November 11th - January 2012, you can find my work at Annex Gallery in Charleston, WV as part of their group Holiday exhibition - I'm so happy to be back!
Don't forget! If you are in the area - I will be participating in the Alan B. Mollohan Gateway Connector Arts Walk from 4:00-7:00 pm in Fairmont, WV. There has been a change of plans due to our windy weather. You will be able to find the Arts Walk inside the new Marion County Visitors Center, which is the new stone building on the Gateway. Be sure to come out and view my new paintings in person and also pick up some Art notecards!
So much thanks to everyone who attended the reception, spent time with the work, asked questions, or purchased paintings! Derek and I totally appreciate it - we especially love sharing our work with students. Thanks everybody!
Tonight there will be an opening reception for the 3 person show I am participating in along with Martha Neaves and Derek Overfield. It is at the Sleeth Gallery at WV Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV. If you have never been to the Sleeth Gallery and are in the area, be sure to stop by (it really is a lovely space). The reception is from 4:30-6:00 pm followed by a Gallery Talk by all three artists. If you love power point presentations (who doesn't?), both Martha and I will be including one in our talk - I promise not to bored you! And there will be refreshments. We would love to see you there!
