Currently working on a commission and a few other things as well. Hopefully will have some big news to share soon! New works on paper - available in my shop...
Things are looking a bit different around here lately. You will notice that all of my social media icons are now conveniently placed at the top of each page near the navigation. Plus I have updated my bio page, which now includes a downloadable onesheet and also my recent solo exhibition installation video!
I'm happy to announce that I've been invited to exhibit in a series of art dealer Wizzie Broach's home shows in Norfolk and Charlottesville, VA. A few works on paper have been selected and shipped over the weekend for the upcoming shows. The first is currently on display right now at 1511 Commonwealth Ave, Norfolk. The exhibits will be available to view by appointment as well.
I've taken a tiny detour back to my Black and White Series. Creating these "side project" sort of paintings prove to be fantastic for loosening up and relieving any sense of pressure that I feel when stepping up to a "regular" canvas. A nice change right before I attempt some new large-scale pieces. I've made these 3 available through my etsy shop only...
I've been doing a lot of painting on paper lately. I mean, a LOT. I will be switching back over to canvases this week in the studio, but thought I'd share a bit of what's been going on. Here is a little sampling of the best that has cropped up... "Painting 357" "Painting 355" "Painting 323" "Painting 352" "Painting 337" "Painting 322"
If interested, you can find them in my shop :)
I'm coming along with lots of works on paper - these will be for sale during FestivALL in Charleston, WV, June 23-24th. Below is just a small selection of what will be available. I've also been working on large pieces on canvas for my upcoming solo exhibition at Annex Gallery (also located in Charleston!). I think I will be keeping those a secret until the show arrives :)
more little abstract landscapes...
What can I say, I was really into yellow last week! Here are more abstract landscape studies; I'm almost up to 160 - how is that already possible?
New abstract works on canvas paper! All 6 x 4.5" and available in my shop...
