The very newest from my Black and White series. Quite a jump up in scale for this body of work, which I am loving! (Thank you to Sarah for the push!) I am considering this format for a few large pieces I have in mind, too. Lots of possibilities... Add Comment more little abstract landscapes... What can I say, I was really into yellow last week! Here are more abstract landscape studies; I'm almost up to 160 - how is that already possible? The very newest large work on canvas... New abstract works on canvas paper! All 6 x 4.5" and available in my shop... Actual eagles, that is - I just had to share! I'm currently obsessed with the Outdoor Channel's "Eagle Cam". It is exactly what it sounds like, a 24/7 camera that captures live footage of eagles! The camera lets you watch a bald eagle couple and their two babies in their home. The nest is 100 feet high in a sycamore tree, and they are living in the National Conservation Training Center campus that is located in West Virginia! I didn't get to see when the babies were hatched a few weeks ago (sigh), but I have observed them eating fish, clumsily flopping around the nest (which is 6 feet across and 5 feet deep, by the way!), and resting with their parents. Why don't you see what they are up to right now? Very happy to announce that I have been juried into Charleston, WV's very own FestivALL Capitol Street Art Fair on June 23-24th! You can find me at my booth on Saturday from 10:00am - 6:00pm and Sunday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Would love to see you there! There will be lots of other artists and artisans displaying their work - will make for a nice summer day of viewing and shopping. I'm happy to announce that my piece "Mon River - October 22nd" has been accepted into the Allied Artists of West Virginia 2012 Juried Exhibition! You will find this painting on display from May 11th through June 28th at the Parkersburg Arts Center in Parkersburg, WV. Congrats to Derek, who has been accepted as well! |
