I've taken a tiny detour back to my Black and White Series. Creating these "side project" sort of paintings prove to be fantastic for loosening up and relieving any sense of pressure that I feel when stepping up to a "regular" canvas. A nice change right before I attempt some new large-scale pieces. I've made these 3 available through my etsy shop only...
I've been doing a lot of painting on paper lately. I mean, a LOT. I will be switching back over to canvases this week in the studio, but thought I'd share a bit of what's been going on. Here is a little sampling of the best that has cropped up... "Painting 357" "Painting 355" "Painting 323" "Painting 352" "Painting 337" "Painting 322" If interested, you can find them in my shop :) Leading up to my September solo exhibition at Annex Gallery, I will be displaying works on paper at Charleston's FestivALL. During the Capitol Street Art Fair, you can view paintings that have never-before been exhibited! You may drop by to view this body of work on June 23rd (10:00 - 6:00pm) and June 24th (11:00 - 5:00pm) on Capitol Street. I am thrilled to be showing my works on paper for the first time ever- these are all original paintings that have been created in different sizes, ranging from 4.5 x 6" to 12 x 16". They will not be on display for my solo exhibition, so if you are in the area, be sure to stop by and check them out :) There are over 100 original small paintings available. I would love to see you there! I'm coming along with lots of works on paper - these will be for sale during FestivALL in Charleston, WV, June 23-24th. Below is just a small selection of what will be available. I've also been working on large pieces on canvas for my upcoming solo exhibition at Annex Gallery (also located in Charleston!). I think I will be keeping those a secret until the show arrives :) New abstract works on canvas paper! All 6 x 4.5" and available in my shop... |
